Terms of Service

These terms are the rules that apply when you visit rivvyna.com or order from Rivvyna. Please read them before you buy. Where something is unclear, write to us and we will explain.

1. Who runs this shop

Rivvyna sells candles, reed diffusers, room and linen sprays, wax melts and candle accessories online at rivvyna.com. The shop belongs to and is operated by HANCO POOL & FOUNTAIN ENGINEERING CO. LIMITED, a company registered in Hong Kong under Business Registration No. 31188075, with its registered address at Room M, 16/F, Block 1, Kinho Industrial Building, 14-24 Au Pui Wan Street, Sha Tin, Hong Kong. Whenever these terms say "Rivvyna", "we" or "us", they mean that company. "You" is the person visiting the site or buying from it.

By using the site or placing an order, you agree to these terms and to the policies they mention. If you do not agree, please do not use the site to buy.

2. Age and capacity

To order, you must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) and legally able to make a binding contract. Our products include candles, matches and flammable sprays, so we do not sell to minors.

3. Your account

You can check out as a guest. If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login private and your details accurate, and for what happens under your account. Tell us at support@rivvyna.com as soon as you suspect someone else has used it.

4. Products, colour and scent

Each product page states the size, burn time or lifespan, composition, fragrance allergens and safety directions for that item. Our vessels are glazed ceramic, so the glaze can pool, speckle or vary in tone from piece to piece; no two are quite the same, and that is part of their character rather than a defect. Colours on screen may differ slightly from the real thing.

Scent is personal. How strong a fragrance seems depends on the size of the room, airflow and your own sense of smell. Burn times and diffuser lifespans are approximate and depend on how the product is used.

Safe use

Candles, wax melt warmers and alcohol-based sprays must be used as directed on the product page and label. You are responsible for using them safely: never leave a lit candle or a switched-on warmer unattended, keep them away from children, pets and anything flammable, and keep diffuser oil and sprays out of reach of children. Our products are home fragrance only. They are not intended to have any effect on health, and our site does not give medical guidance.

5. Prices

Prices are shown in US dollars and include the product only. Shipping and any applicable taxes are shown at checkout before you pay. We may change prices at any time, but a change will not affect an order we have already confirmed. If a product is listed at an obviously wrong price, we may cancel the order and refund you in full.

6. How a contract is made

When you place an order you are making an offer to buy. We accept it, and a contract is formed, when we send the email confirming that your order has been dispatched. Until then we may decline or cancel an order, for example if an item is out of stock, payment cannot be verified, the delivery address is outside the countries we ship to, or the order looks fraudulent. If we cancel, we refund everything you paid.

7. Payment

Payment is taken at checkout through Shopify's secure checkout and its payment processor. You confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method you choose. We never see or store your full card number. More detail is on our Payment & Security page.

8. Shipping and risk

We ship to the United States, Canada and Australia with Priority Express Shipping at $5.99 per order. Delivery estimates are set out in our Shipping Policy and are not guaranteed. Responsibility for the goods passes to you when they are delivered to the address you gave. Please make sure that address is complete and correct.

9. Returns

You may return unused items within 30 days of delivery, including when you have simply changed your mind. The details are in our Return & Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.

10. Intellectual property

Everything on this site, including the product names, photographs, label and vessel designs, text and layout, is owned by HANCO POOL & FOUNTAIN ENGINEERING CO. LIMITED or used under licence. You may view and share links to our pages for personal use. You may not copy, reproduce or use our content commercially without our written consent.

Rivvyna is a trademark owned and operated by HANCO POOL & FOUNTAIN ENGINEERING CO. LIMITED. The Rivvyna name and wordmark may not be used in connection with any other product or service.

11. Acceptable use

When using the site you agree not to:

• break any law or encourage anyone else to;
• use bots, scrapers or other automated means to copy content or place orders;
• interfere with the site's security or performance, or introduce malicious code;
• use a payment method you are not entitled to use;
• buy products for commercial resale without our written agreement;
• submit false, offensive or infringing reviews, messages or content.

We may suspend access or cancel orders connected with misuse.

12. Third-party sites

We may link to sites we do not run, such as carrier tracking pages or social media. We are not responsible for their content or practices, and their own terms apply.

13. Disclaimer

We work to keep the site accurate and available, but we do not promise that it will always be error-free or uninterrupted. Beyond what these terms promise and what consumer law guarantees, the site is offered "as is". Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit or loss of data, or for damage caused by using a product against its safety directions. Our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

15. Indemnity

You agree to compensate us for reasonable losses, costs and legal fees arising from a claim brought against us because you broke these terms, or broke the law, on our site.

16. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong SAR, and its courts have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the place where you live and may also bring proceedings there.

17. Changes

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published on the date you ordered. The "Last updated" date above shows when they were last revised.

18. Severability, waiver and entire agreement

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining parts continue to apply. A delay in enforcing a right does not mean we have given it up. These terms and the policies linked from them are the entire agreement between you and us about the site and your orders.
