Short answers to the questions people ask us most about scents, candles, delivery and returns.

Scents

What scents do you make?

Six house scents: Fallow Field (hay, vetiver, amber), Last Light (bergamot, orange peel, honey), Rain on Linen (cotton, rain, white musk), Cedar Ember (cedarwood, smoked birch, leather), Wild Plum (plum, rose, pink pepper) and Moss & Stone (oakmoss, vetiver, a cool mineral note). I can't decide. Where should I start?

The Discovery Set of Six has a small candle in every scent, and the Wax Melt Collection has one melt of each. Both let you try them all at home.

Which scents are lighter and which are stronger?

Rain on Linen and Last Light are the freshest and lightest. Cedar Ember and Wild Plum are the deepest and fill a room most. Fallow Field and Moss & Stone sit in between.

I am sensitive to fragrance. What should I check?

Every product page lists the fragrance allergens it contains, such as linalool, coumarin or limonene. If you know you react to a particular ingredient, check that list before ordering. Ventilate the room while burning or diffusing, and stop using a product if it bothers you.

Do your candles or diffusers have health benefits?

No. They are made to make a room smell lovely, nothing more. We do not claim they affect mood, sleep, health or the air in your home.

Candles and diffusers

Why is the first burn so important?

Wax has a memory. Let the melted pool reach the edge of the vessel the first time you light a candle, usually two to three hours, so it burns evenly next time instead of tunnelling.

How long will my candle last?

About 45-50 hours for an 8 oz candle and 70-80 hours for a three-wick bowl, if you trim the wick and burn up to 4 hours at a time.

Can I reuse the ceramic vessel?

Yes. When about 1/2 in of wax remains, stop burning. Once cool, pop the vessel in the freezer for an hour, ease the wax out, wash in warm soapy water and use it for plants, pens or brushes.

How long does a reed diffuser last?

Around three to four months, depending on the room's temperature and airflow. Flip the reeds now and then for more scent, and swap them for fresh ones from our Reed Refill Pack when they clog.

How much is shipping?

Priority Express Shipping costs $5.99 per order to the United States, Canada and Australia. See the Shipping Policy.

How quickly will it arrive?

We pack orders in 1-3 business days. Delivery then takes 5-9 business days in the US and 10-20 business days to Canada and Australia.

Can I change my order after placing it?

Email us straight away. If it has not been packed yet, we can change the items or address, or cancel it.

Can I send a gift directly to someone?

Yes. Enter their name and address as the delivery address at checkout.

Returns and payment

Can I return something if I just don't like the scent?

Yes, within 30 days of delivery, as long as it is unused: candles unlit, diffusers and sprays unopened. No restocking fee. Email us first; returns go to our registered address in Hong Kong. Details are in the Return & Refund Policy.

My candle arrived cracked.

We're sorry. Send a photo within 30 days of delivery and we will replace it or refund you, at no cost.
